Yukiko, her mother, carried this wisdom from Japan to the shores of Maui, where Sera grew up between two worlds: island aloha and the precision of Japanese tradition.
Her path led her to Kyoto's tea houses, to Shaolin Temple in Europe, to the quiet wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine and the company of monks.
