Okumidori Matcha 濃茶

Our Okumidori, formerly called "Koicha Reserve" is a Grande Ceremonial single-origin Oku Midori, stone-ground from shade-grown first harvest leaves. Taste is creamy, fragrant, naturally caffeinating, and reveals mild layers of umami with an elegant, lingering aftertaste. Prepare as usucha or koicha. 

Matcha is rich in powerful compounds that support whole-body wellness. L-theanine, promotes relaxation and focus. Catechins, potent antioxidants, help neutralize harmful free radicals and support cellular health. A 2024 clinical study from the University of Tsukuba found that daily matcha intake improved sleep quality and social cognitive function in older adults. Research suggests matcha also supports stress and anxiety relief, cognitive clarity, muscle recovery, and healthy gut bacteria.
