Matcha Scoop (Chashaku) 茶杓

The chashaku is a ladle carved from a single piece of bamboo, designed to measure matcha with intention. Its curved tip and sharp angle allow you to reach into narrow containers and pull out the right amount of powder—about one and a half heaping ladles for a classic serving of usucha or two for koicha. 

The bamboo is soft to the touch, and since it's a natural material, each chashaku has unique appearance and character. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth or tissue after use—no water or soap, as the bamboo will absorb matcha powder and lose its shape. Store away from heat sources.
